Privacy Policy

This policy is a plain-English starting template for Ledgerline's launch. Before you announce, have counsel review it against your final data-processing practices and the jurisdictions you operate in.

Ledgerline, Inc. ("Ledgerline," "we," "us") builds software that reconciles payout data for finance teams. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It covers our marketing website and our product.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a demo or contact us, we collect your name, work email, company, payout volume range, and anything you write in the message field.
Customer financial data. For active customers, we access transaction and payout data from your connected processors and bank feeds on a read-only basis, solely to perform reconciliation.
Usage data. Standard technical logs (IP, browser, pages viewed) to operate and secure the site and product.

2. How we use information

To respond to demo requests and provide the reconciliation service.
To secure, maintain, and improve our product.
To communicate about your account, security, and service changes.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your financial data to train models or for any purpose beyond delivering the service to you.

3. How we protect data

We encrypt data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256), isolate customer data by tenant, and maintain SOC 2 Type II controls. Access to production data is least-privilege and logged. Our connections to payment processors and banks are read-only and cannot move funds.

4. Sharing

We share data only with subprocessors that help us run the service (e.g. cloud hosting), under contract and only as needed. A current subprocessor list and our Data Processing Agreement are available on request at our contact page.

5. Data retention

We retain demo-request data for as long as needed to follow up, and customer data for the life of the contract plus any period required for legal or audit obligations. You can request deletion at any time.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise them, contact us and we'll respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires.
